    Day 03 of Kasargod Tour Package: Kannur

    After breakfast visit Muthappan Temple (Shri Parassinikadavu Muthappan Temple) i.e., early morning before 8 AM. This temple is very famous and irrespective of religion many people come here for darshana. The deity worshipped here is Muthappan (personification of Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva). Mysterious rituals and practices are followed here. Visiting this temple will be a great experience. After visiting the temple move to Parassinikadavu Snake Park, a famous tourist destination in Kannur. It is a park established with an aim to protect and preserve snakes. Different varieties of Snakes are there including non-poisonous one. After lunch let’s end the journey with a visit to Payyambalam Beach, a simple, clean and beautiful beach to relax. The beauty of the beach is also showed in many Indian movies.

    After breakfast drive to Kasaragod and proceed to Ananthapura Lake Temple,the only lake temple in Kerala-considered to be the moolasthanam of Lord Ananthapadmanabha. An unusual thing about this temple is the presence of a single crocodile in the lake. The temple has a great scenic beauty, a sense of peace and solitude. Next we will go with the history just 30 kms away i.e., Bakel Fort, among the biggest forts in Kerala-built in the 17th century-130 feet above sea level. Purely constructed by Shivappa Nayaka for defence purpose in the year 1650. It has a beautiful beach- Bekal Beach, which is almost crowded with lots of people. Sitting in the beach and watching the Bekal Fort from there is just an amazing view. It is a perfect relaxing place for people.
